WISDOM SERIES
Season One
RIGHTEOUSNESS A GIFT TO THE BELIEVER
II Timothy 3: 15 Knowing the Holy Scriptures make you wise.
Matthew 22: 29 They walk into error because they don't know the scriptures.
Is good we understand the meaning of these key words in our topic to enhance better comprehension. The word Righteousness, Gift and Believer.

What is Righteousness: The Greek word for righteousness from the strong concordance dictionary is dikaios which means being justified (not guilty forever) there by qualified has having right standing with God forever.

What is Gift: The Greek word for gift is charisma which means a gift of grace (an undeserved favour)

Who is a Believer: The Greek word for believe is pisteuo which means having confidence on what one believes that is putting complete trust on Jesus Christ, the complete forgiveness that comes from His blood and all He has achieved for mankind.

There is no righteousness without forgiveness of sin.

What is sin: The Greek word for sin is hamartia which means missing the mark Romans 3:23, all has missed the mark.

What is forgiveness: The Greek word forgiveness is amphasis which means deliverance, pardon and complete forgiveness. It also means sending away, a letting go, a release, that is releasing someone from obligation or debt because of complete forgiveness Ephesians 1:7, Romans 3:24.

When one believes and confesses Jesus Christ has is Lord and personal saviour, all his sins (past, present and future) are completely forgiven (the ones he has committed and will still commit in the future all has being forgiven over 2000 years ago) in the blood of Jesus Christ forever. His release and pardon from paying the debt of sin which is death Romans 6:23 that is justification and his given a gift of righteousness (being justified, not being guilty, thereby qualified has having right standing with God forever).

The righteousness you received has a gift is completely free (unconditional, undeserved, unearned, unmerited Romans 3:20,21,24,27,28, 5:1, Ephesians 2:8-9 New Living Translation) and its not subject to change based on your right or wrong doing because He has perfected you forever by His one sacrifice on the cross Hebrews 10:12,14. So don't have the mentality that when you do wrong you've broken or lost this righteousness and needs confession of sins to reconcile. NO; know that you have been forever reconciled by God through Christ and His not counting your sins against you (2 Corinthians 5:19 NLT) because a perfect substitute was provided to take your place of punishment and death once and for all Hebrews 10:10, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53:4-6. Always be conscious of what Jesus did for you on the cross of calvary (John 3:14)

Note: Every time you fall by doing the wrong thing always confess you're the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), not confessing sin (1 John 1:9 is for those who are not in Christ) those in Christ are new creatures 2 Corinthians 5:17 and not under law but under grace Romans 6:14
